The Department of Earth Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs which
center upon course work in geology (mineralogy, paleontology, petrology, structural geology
and volcanology) and geophysics (geo-electromagnetic physics, physics of rocks, glaciology
and meteorology). The department has three courses: the geosphere physics course, geodynamics
course and geological science course. These courses offer a program of study in earth sciences
involving field study, experimental research, data analysis and numerical modeling. Our earth
science programs are designed to prepare students for careers in earth sciences and related
professions. |
